Delete your data

Last updated November 3, 2026

NoBookEnds has no accounts of its own. You sign in with the accounts of your own Audiobookshelf server, so almost everything the app uses lives on your devices or on servers you run. This page explains how to delete each part.

Ratings, highlights, notes, clips and podcast data

If you use a NoBookEnds Sync server, the app keeps these there so they follow you between devices. To delete them:

  1. Open NoBookEnds and go to the Account tab.
  2. Open NoBookEnds Sync.
  3. Tap Delete my synced data and confirm.

This deletes that data from your NoBookEnds Sync server and from the device you used. Your other devices keep their own copies until you delete the app on them or remove the server there. Without a sync server, this data stays on your device, or in your own iCloud account on iPhone and iPad.

Everything on a device

Remove a server from the app's Account tab to delete its sign-in, downloads and saved settings from that device. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on the device.

Your Audiobookshelf account and listening progress

Your account, library and listening progress belong to your Audiobookshelf server, not to us. The person who runs that server can delete your account and its data there.

Purchases

Purchases are recorded with a random Purchase ID, not your name or email. To delete that record, email [email protected] with the order number from your Apple or Google receipt. Deleting it may stop Restore Purchases from working. Your payment history itself is kept by Apple or Google.
